About Us

Mission Statement: To impart mainstream Islamic education within a short period using modern teaching methodologies combined with traditional means.

Objectives: To promote Islamic scholarship, facilitate madrasa education online, and help Muslims understand and practice Islam according to its pure teachings.

History: Markaz Online Madrasa (MOM) was conceived during a virtual meeting on 3 June 2023, with scholars from the International MMERC Alumni Network (IMAN). It was unanimously agreed to launch MOM under Markazul Ma’arif Education and Research Centre (MMERC), Mumbai, to meet the contemporary needs of the global Muslim community. The website www.markazonlinemadrasa.com was officially launched later at a conference in Deoband’s Mahmood Hall on Monday, the 11th of November, 2024 by Hazrat Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani Sb. (db), the Mohtamim (VC) of Darul Uloom Deoband and Hazrat Maulana Mohammad Badruddin Ajmal Al-Qasmi Sb. (db), the Patron of MOM in the presence of hundreds of ulama, scholars from accross India, inclduing MOM’s Founding Members.

Certificate in Islamic Studies (CIS)
An introductory course covering the basics of Islamic beliefs, Qur'anic studies, Seerat, and Fiqh, providing a strong foundation in Islamic knowledge.
Diploma in Islamic Studies (DIS)
Expands on the first year, offering deeper insights into Qur'anic sciences, Hadith, and Fiqh for a more comprehensive understanding of Islamic teachings.
Advanced Diploma in Islamic Studies (ADIS)
Focuses on advanced Islamic theology, jurisprudence, and Arabic, encouraging critical analysis and independent thought within Islamic scholarship.
Alimiyat: Graduation in Islamic Theology (GIT)
Specialized study in Islamic theology over two years, covering Tafsir, Hadith sciences, and Fiqh, preparing students for scholarly roles or advanced studies.

Admission Details

  • Eligibility: Open to candidates (male or female) above 15 years of age, with reading, writing, and understanding capacity in English from any part of the world.
  • Process: First admission is only in Certficate in Islamic Studies (CIS).
  • Applicants can apply online through the website only.
  • Fees: INR 25,000 per course, (payable in advance). Books and courier etc. charges may be applicable separately.
  • Seats are limited: First come first served.

We use direct teaching methods to create an interactive virtual classroom environment, with live video sessions and one-to-one exchanges. Digital platforms like Skype, Zoom, and Google Meet are employed to facilitate these classes.
Evaluation Process:
Monthly Evaluation, regular assessments to track progress.
Semester Exams:
Three exams each year, leading to certification and marksheet upon successful completion.

Common questions about admission process, course details, fees, and other important aspects of MOM.

The actual education will begin in the middle of April 2025, In-Sha-Allah, and thereafter, we may start new batches as and when required. 

The standard size of each MOM batch will be consisting of 25 students only. However, five plus or minus is expected.

The MOM classes will take total three hours time daily. One period will be of 45 minuts only. Four period daily, six days a week.  Friday will be off. 

The timings of the MOM classes may vary from batch to batch. Actual timing will be decided as per availability of majority of the students in a particular batch. However, MOM may begin with two batches in a day, one morning batch from 07 to 10 AM and the other evening batch from 07 – 10 PM, IST (Indian Standard Time). 

Yes, as of now this is our plan. However, it depends on enrollments. As and when a complete batch of female students is enrolled, we would start a female only batch. Otherwise, either the female applicant should wait or will find a way out with mutual consents.

No, the first admission can be taken in CIS (1st Year) only. MOM’s courses are very precise and concise, and they are particularly designed aiming at gradual development of her students till GIT. Notably, MOM is a virtual educational institution, except online classes, it functions like any other contemporary mainstream madrasa, college or university.    

MOM has one more online education program for children between 10 and 15 years of age group in the pipeline. That would be of 3-year duration taking Hifz and Tajweed into special consideration. However, that may take some time to see a practical execution.

Yes, after completion of admission and payments of due charges, all printed books will be sent to the students’ postal address.

Yes, the MOM students will get Digital IDs, Payment Receipts, relevant Marksheets and Certificates following exams and successful completion of a particular Course.
